Wash and soak Quinoa for 1 hour or over night.

1 cup Quinoa
1 1/2 cups coconut milk or almond milk or low fat milk
1/2 cup water
pinch of salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 to 3 tbs organic honey or maple syrup
1/2 to 1 apple slices
Remaining apple slices

1. Drain the quinoa and discard the water.
2. Add the the quinoa, milk, water, slices of apples, salt, and ground cinnamon into the pot and bring it to a boil.
3. Then lower the heat, cover and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the quinoa is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
4. Finally, adjust the liquid based on your preference and stir in ground cinnamon,vanilla extract, honey or maple syrup.
5. Remove from the stove and serve warm with toppings on top .
Milk is for creaminess and texture in this recipe. If someone wants to use less milk . They can try 1 1/2 cup water and 1/2 milk ratio instead or 2 cups water and no milk at all.
